In the midst of Portland’s burgeoning burlesque scene, Savoir Faire remains a perpetual panoply of weekly entertainment! An unbridled showcase of burlesque, vaudeville, comedy and performance art, Savoir Faire continues to entice, tease, and delight audiences EVERY THURSDAY night at the Hawthorne Theatre Lounge.  Producer Kit Katastrophic fires up the stage with captivating performers both local and national.

Rump-Shaking Techniques with Isaiah Esquire!   1:00pm – 2:00pm

For anybody who has marveled at the butt-bouncing genius of Burlesquire! If you’ve ever longed to learn Isaiah’s tricks of the ass-shaking trade, this is the class for you. Whether you’re brand new to the art of rump shaking, or an experienced gyrator looking for a few new tips, you’re in good hands with the master of bootyquakes!

‘Strip Hop’ with Angelique DeVil! 2:15pm – 3:15pm

For ALL levels! Angelique will begin the class with a invigorating warmup for the body, before moving into a discussion of the fundamentals of movement. Learn what sorts of movement techniques look best on your body, and explore them in an encouraging, titillating environment. After these portions of the class, Angelique will teach a chunk of sassy choreography suited for all bodies and skill levels!

Portland Burlesque Revue To Host Burlesque Hall Of Fame’s

2011 ‘Queen Of Burlesque’ Title Holder, Miss Indigo Blue

Village Voice called her a “fierce diva”, and Seattle Weekly thinks she is “delicious”. Heeb Magazine says she is “obscenely comedic”, and SinnSavvy Productions now has the distinguished privilege of addressing her as its May 18th headliner. World-renowned burlesque entertainer and instructor, Miss Indigo Blue, will be the featured act in the next edition of revered Portland burlycue spectacular: The Rosehip Revue.

Miss Indigo has performed across the globe, most recently Toronto, Helsinki, Stockholm, Shanghai, Lisbon, Dublin, London, and Amsterdam. She has a national following, having taught and performed in New York, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Miss Indigo is a four-time award winner at the annual Miss Exotic World competition, and the current Reigning Queen of Burlesque, Miss Exotic World 2011. She is also well known for her starring role in the documentary about her Seattle-based Academy Of Burlesque, “A Wink And A Smile”.

Taking the stage with Miss Indigo will be The Rosehip Revue’s celebrated core cast: the lewd and luscious Lana Louche; libidinous boylesque duo Burlesquire; swingdance and cabaret sensations Russell Bruner & Sugar Kane; and the poppin n’ lockin princess of pizazz, Angelique DeVil. Rounding out this illustrious lineup will be local luminaries Charlotte Treuse and Madison Moone, both hailing from the production team of Orchestre L’Pow’s ‘Big Time Burlesque’. As Portland burlesque fans have come to rightfully demand, the evening will be hosted by SinnSavvy’s own nonpareil, The Emceeiam.

Immediately following the show, SinnSavvy Productions is ecstatic to host Miss Indigo Blue for a meet-and-greet with her adoring Portland fans. The stellar staff at historic burlesque venue, Star Theater, will be on hand to secure the Rosehip audience with libations while they mingle with burlesque’s Reigning Queen.
